Chris Ashton Biography

Chris Ashton was born on 29th of March in the year 1987. He was born in Wigan which is situated in Greater Manchester. He is a professional rugby player who plays in the English rugby union. This particular player has also played in the National Rugby team of England in tournaments of Rugby Union and Rugby League. Ashton has played for the Wigan Warriors in the Super League competition of Rugby League as a Fullback.  Presently, this particular rugby player is in the team of Northampton Saints which plays in the Aviva Premiership. He plays in the wing position for this particular team.

During his career in Wigan Warriors, Chris Ashton had to play mainly as the Fullback. But in many cases he had to operate the wing position.  In the year 2003, Ashton was introduced to the team of Wigan Warriors. Initially he came to the under 18 team of the particular club and was chosen in scholarship programme, organized by the club authority. In the end season of 2005, Chris played his debut match for the senior team of Wigan Warriors. He proved himself in the very first match and continued a very good form. He impressed the club authority within few days and thus his name got enrolled in the team list of the Super League.

He played his first Super League match against the Hull in the end season of 2005. At that time he was only 18 years old. In the beginning of the 2006 Rugby season, Chris Ashton found a permanent place in the senior team of the Wigan Warriors. His name got enrolled in the team as a replacement of the Kris Radlinski. Kris suffered an injury at that particular time which helped Ashton to get the permanent chance in the senior team of the Wigan Warriors.

On 19th of March in the year 2007, it was officially announced that Aston has signed to play the sport of Rugby for the team of Northampton Saints. On 1st of September in the year 2007, Aston played for the Saints for the first time against London Welsh at Franklin’s Gardens. He came as a substitute player for Will Harries and this particular match was a National Division one. Chris Ashton has played the game very consistently which has helped him to develop into a fantastic player. He has also played for the National Rugby Team of England in many tournaments and was successful in winning certain championships for the Nation.
